Achievements

Over the last eight years, this smallholder coffee farmer has shown that determination, steady work, and a vision for the future can transform a farm — and a life. From a small cultivated plot, she now farms more than seven hectares. She has established her own wet mill, strengthening how her production is managed, and her commitment to quality shows in her selective harvesting — picking only coffee at its optimal ripeness. These gains include building her own home and acquiring transportation for her harvest. Her story inspires other women producers to believe in the power of their work.

Logros

Challenges

Climate change and El Niño affect water availability, productivity, bean quality, and profitability. Adaptation, sustainable resource management, and organizational strengthening are her resilience strategies.
